Happy Mother’s Day…. to me. I finally got the picture of my three girls that I LOVE! It only took 2 years. They say good things come to those who wait. This was one of my more challenging shoots with the girls. My partner for all of these adventures is my sister-in-law. She will buy whatever outfit I ask her, help with all the kids and do anything!
Many of my photos have a lot of meaning behind them that most people would not know. This quilt was their great-grandmothers. Lucky for me, Kurt’s parents saved a lot of really great heirlooms. Many of them are sprinkled in my photos.
The orginal location that we had previously scouted out had been mowed… so we had to think fast. The bed had to be carted 1/2 mile by wagon and then set up in the field. A 2,3,4 and 6 year old also needed to get out to the field mud freee (which did not happen). Meanwhile the sun is setting and things get crazy. It was definitely high advenure and worth every bit of extra effort. I am in LOVE!
Two of these images will be submitted to the San Diego Fair.
